Made in Massachusetts, the Schon DSGN pen is a great new release I found over at Jet Pens. The DSGN is designed for everyday carry in mind featuring a highly durable design. The DSGN comes with a Fisher Space Pen ballpoint point refill stock. I’m a big fan of Fisher Space pen refills. The ink can write in just about any condition, even while holding the pen upside down. You can also use D1 refills with the companion adatper.
The DSGN is available in several different finishes including Brass, Stainless, Titanium, Aluminum, and Copper. The finishes will wear, patina, and scratch over time giving it some unique character. I wouldn’t suggest putting this in your pocket with keys if you want the finish to stay unmarked.
The pen itself has a screw on cap that can be added to the end of the pen for additional length or left off for a short stubby feel. To refill the pen there is a small screw on the end to open and pop a new one in. I don’t personally own one of these yet but they look like they fit in the hand nicely. If you’re looking for a simple, durable pen made in the USA, you can’t go wrong with one of these.
