Week 33 of 2018 saw a ton of new knife releases. I’m sure I didn’t even catch them all. There wasn’t a lot of news in the other categories but that’s ok. Check out my previous Everyday Carry News Wrapup articles for EDC product news from the past few weeks.

As far as site news goes I posted my first Everyday Carry All-Stars article featuring Chans_EDC. I plan on continuing to reach out to those I find with great EDC rotations and pick their minds about their gear. Looking forward to more interviews.

Everyday Carry Knife News

There were a lot of releases and updates to keep up with this week. The Blade HQ exclusive version of the Boker Kwaiken was a solid way to start the week. I really liked the marbled carbon handle and overall dark aesthetic. If you dig the Kwaiken you have your work cut out for you trying to choose a model to buy with all the options these days.

The MS3 from Zieba is a slick little number. Sleek and sophisticated slicey flipper. Knife Center has it in Nitro V steel. Nitro V is a relatively new steel to the market with a highly similar makeup to 14C28. The latest version of the MS3 is lighter and has an improved lockbar access.

GP Blades is offering Emerson’s Kwaiken if you’re looking for something a little different in this blade style. Emerson has put their Wave feature on the blade but also offers dual sided thumb disk for deployment. 154CM blade steel with a v-ground edge.

Last but not least of the knives that came out this week that peaked my interest was the Primordial from A Purvis Blades. Working with WE Knife Co to make their first production knife has brought costs down nicely to the mid $200 range. M390 steel with slight re-curve and several finishes make this an intriguing knife.

Everyday Carry Bag News

Very little bag news this week. The limited edition FAST Pack Litespeed from Triple Aught Design caught my eye. The new woodland camo version looks nice and has a ton of features. You can read all about them on their site. Preorder soon as they are 33% ordered of 400 available already.

Everyday Carry Pen News

EDC Pen news saw a couple of nice reviews this week. Both the Inventery Bolt Action Pen and Tactile Turn Shaker V2 are on my short list of pens to get my hands on. Both feature expertly machine bodies and fantastic click mechanisms.

Jet Pens offers an array of pen sampler sets. They have recently got their Off Black samplers back in stock. These pens are not your typical bright blue or black ink colors, leaning more towards professional dark shades of red, brown, blue, etc that look really nice. It’s a great way to try out a lot of different pen designs, widths, and inks to find what you like best.
