We all know that friend of ours or person that we follow that has the most admirable collection of everyday carry gear. I thought it would be cool to feature some of those people on the site. I feel putting a spotlight on some of the best EDC collectors that I’ve seen and picking their brain about their gear would be helpful for everyone.
This is my first Everyday Carry All-Star but it will not be my last. I plan to reach out to my fellow knifenuts and gear heads to feature the best collection of EDC items that I can find. If you have a great everyday carry rotation with fantastic photos, we would like to hear from you. Hit us up via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Without further adieu I want to give a big thanks to Chandler, better known as Chans_EDC on Instagram, for taking the time to answer my questions about his EDC gear. Chandler has a fantastic collection of knives, tools, hanks, and other everyday carry items. His posts always jump out at me in my feed thanks to the awesome color palettes in his photos.
Everyday Carry All-Star: Chans_EDC
What state do you live in?
What is your profession?
Chans_EDC: Small business owner
How did you first get started with the everyday carry hobby?
Chans_EDC: I have been a collector of knives and weapons since I was very young. Instagram has helped expand my views on makers of knives and tools. It became a serious hobby of mine in just the last couple of years. The animal inspired multi-tools were a big influence.
What do you value in items you look to add to your EDC rotation?
I look for exotic metals like Titanium or Zirconium mainly, I like the idea of a tool or bottle opener that will never rust or corrode and is suppose to last a lifetime. I also like the one of a kind items built by people in their garage and not something you can just buy in a store.
